The importance of school assemblies and collective worship
While working on this project, I found myself typing "quotes about the importance of school assemblies" into Google… and let’s just say, the results weren’t exactly inspiring. So, what now? If we can’t find the inspiration, we’ll just have to create it ourselves!

At Out of the Box Assemblies, we’re big believers in the power of a good assembly or collective worship session. Those moments when the whole school gathers are packed with potential – a chance to inspire, reflect and bring everyone together. They’re little pauses in the whirlwind of the day where children (and staff!) get to stop, think, and share.

In faith schools, these times take on an extra layer of meaning – a peaceful space in the middle of the noise to explore values and grow together with God.

Now, I’ve met a fair few headteachers who groan at the thought of an assembly, and I’ve never understood it. My advice? Embrace the moment, make every word count, and use that time to strengthen your school community.

Now stick that in quotation marks and go forth and assemble!
