I love assemblies and collective worship sessions. They’re genuinely the highlight of my day - a moment to connect with the whole school, share ideas, and (if I’m lucky) squeeze in a good story or song. But all too often, I find myself staring at my office wall for far too long, trying to figure out what on earth I’m going to say.

A wise colleague once told me that a good assembly should never take longer to plan than it does to deliver. Sound advice. Unfortunately, in practice, I end up spending more time trawling the internet for photos, videos, and that perfect song than I do actually speaking to the children.

One particularly uninspired afternoon, I caught myself gazing out of the window and muttering, “There must be an easier way…” And that’s how Out of the Box Assemblies was born—a one-stop shop for simple, affordable assemblies that take the stress out of planning and put the joy back into sharing.
