Times and Places - Malala Yousafzai Day - The importance of education
This Malala Yousafzai Day assembly for primary schools explores the importance of education and why every child deserves the opportunity to learn. Through discussion and reflection, pupils discover how Malala Yousafzai became a global advocate for education and consider the values of justice, equality and opportunity. This assembly explores the famous author - Charles Dickens. Use the three items in the box to explore the life of Dickens. Look at how he used his life experiences to shape his work, using his voice to stand up for others. Use the additional collective worship slides to look at how the book of Proverbs can guide our actions and help us to think of others. The main focus for this assembly are the values of COMPASSION and JUSTICE.
